ReciPick Privacy Policy

ReciPick (hereinafter "Company") establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the 「Personal Information Protection Act」 to protect the personal information of users and to handle related grievances promptly and smoothly.

Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)

The Company processes personal information for the following purposes. The personal information being processed will not be used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use is changed, the Company will implement necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent.

Membership Registration and Management: Personal information is processed for the purposes of user identification and authentication, maintenance and management of membership status, and prevention of unauthorized use of services.
Service Provision: Personal information is processed for purposes related to providing services, such as recipe storage and management, personalized recipe recommendations, and content delivery.
Grievance Handling: Personal information is processed for the purposes of verifying user identity, confirming complaints, and notifying users of investigation results.

Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Processed)

The Company collects the following personal information to provide services.

      ReciPick allows the use of the recipe extraction feature even without logging in; in such cases, no personal information is collected. Minimal information is collected via social login only when using additional features such as saving recipes.
    

Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)

The Company processes and retains personal information within the retention and use period stipulated by law or within the period agreed upon by the user at the time of collection.

Member Information: Until membership withdrawal (deleted immediately upon withdrawal)
Stored Recipe Data: Until membership withdrawal
Service Usage Records: Maximum of 1 year

However, in the following cases, information is retained until the reason for retention expires:

Records regarding display/advertisement as per the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.: 6 months
Records regarding payment and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years (for paid subscription users)
Records regarding consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Company processes personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 and does not provide it to third parties without the user's consent. Exceptions are made in the following cases:

When the user has given prior consent
When required by law or requested by investigative agencies for investigation purposes in accordance with the procedures and methods prescribed by law

Article 5 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing)

The Company entrusts personal information processing tasks as follows to ensure smooth service provision:

Article 6 (Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information)

The Company destroys personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary, such as upon the expiration of the retention period or the achievement of the processing purpose.

Destruction Procedure: Unnecessary personal information is destroyed within 5 days from the date it is deemed unnecessary.
Destruction Method: Information in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that prevent the records from being reconstructed.

Article 7 (Rights and Obligations of Users and Methods of Exercise)

Users may exercise the following rights regarding personal information protection against the Company at any time:

Request for access to personal information
Request for correction in case of errors
Request for deletion
Request for suspension of processing

Rights may be exercised directly via the "My Page" section in the app, or by contacting the Company via email or written request using the contact information provided below. The Company will take action without delay.

Article 8 (Measures to Ensure the Safety of Personal Information)

The Company implements the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information:

Encryption of personal information: Important information, such as user passwords, is encrypted for storage and management.
Technical measures against hacking: Data access is restricted via Firebase Security Rules.
Access control: Access rights to systems processing personal information are minimized.
Use of social login: The Company does not store passwords directly and uses secure authentication methods via the OAuth 2.0 protocol.

Article 9 (Personal Information Protection Officer)

The Company designates a Personal Information Protection Officer as follows to oversee tasks related to personal information processing and to handle complaints and provide remedies for damages related to users' personal information.

Article 10 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

This Privacy Policy is effective from April 18, 2026. Previous versions of the Privacy Policy can be viewed below.

If the Privacy Policy is changed, the Company will notify users of the changes via notices or pop-ups within the app.
